ROSE MARIE OTTMAN
ose Marie Ottman has been certified to teach Pilates since 1998 and was certified in 2004 to teach GYROTONIC®.
Rose Marie has experience working with back pain; feet, knee, hip and shoulder injuries; pregnancy; osteoporosis; Parkinson’s disease; and post-physical therapy surgery rehabilitation. Each class and private session is tailored to fit an individual’s needs and goals with attention toward client education for change.
Rose Marie worked as a professional modern dancer in Los Angeles and New York City and incorporates these skills in her work, specifically with her attention to detail and quality of movement discernment. She has an avid interest in body mechanics applied to daily living, and approaches teaching from a mind/body/spirit perspective. She believes that education is a lifelong pursuit and continues to update her knowledge with regular conferences and training programs.

She teaches group Pilates mat classes and utilizes the Clinical Reformer, Cadillac (Trap Table), Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Wunda Chair, Gyrotonic® Pulley Tower Combination Unit and a variety of smaller apparatus at her studio for private sessions.

- BA in Dance/Minor Psychology (University of California, Irvine, Magna Cum Laude)
- Pilates Certification 1998 (Bodycraft Pilates Studio, New York)
- Gyrotonic® Level I Certification 2004 with specialized courses in applications for the Fascial Body, Hip and Knee, Osteoporosis, Shoulder Girdle, and Psoas Principles.
