About Me

My name is JJ McLaughlin and I am one of the in house personal trainers at Club 100. I am the person that has always had trouble sitting still, and because of that I have always enjoyed being physically active. Being a Tahoe local, I enjoy spending my time outdoors doing things such as hiking and golfing during the summer and snowboarding during the winter. I have always had a love for fitness and because of its immense benefit in my life, I’ve been inspired to spread the knowledge with as many people as possible. I know first hand, how much everyone can benefit from it. We all have room to become even better versions of ourselves.

What made you Choose Tahoe Club 100 ?

I chose Club 100 because I wanted to be affiliated with a gym that is serious about health and fitness, cares about their members and treats them as more than just another member number, and creates a proper atmosphere for both serious athletes and recreational fitness enthusiasts. Tahoe Club 100 has everything I need to train my clients properly and on top of that it also feels truly comfortable inside unlike training inside of a big box gym.

Take 5 Questions

Question #1

What drives you to work-out?

A: It is a combination of what it does for me mentally and the effect it has on my aesthetics.

Question #2

What’s your proudest fitness moment?

A: My proudest fitness moment was probably when I passed the personal fitness trainer certification exam.

Question #3

Favorite Exercises or Piece of Equipment? Why?

A: My favorite exercise would have to be either the barbell bench press or the barbell deadlift. I believe the most important thing to focus on regardless of individual goals should be the compound movements that work multiple muscle groups at once. Which leads me to my favorite piece of equipment being the barbell of course!

Question #4

What’s your Favorite work out song, artist or album?

A: My favorite workout music would have to be metal or hardcore. The album I have probably listened to the most number of times during a workout is Toxicity by System of a Down.

Question #5

What’s in your gym bag?

A: I am blessed to live just down the street from where I train, so I don’t even use a gym bag. I just show up wearing my workout gear and holding a water bottle.
