Where Strength Meets Trail

Hello, my name is Vincent Perry. I’ve had a huge passion for fitness ever since I was a kid. My mother was a big ultra runner when I was growing up and really inspired me and my four younger siblings to become distance runners in high school. Trail running fostered a passion for the outdoors and really opened my eyes to blending fitness with nature. I moved out west from upstate New York about ten years ago and discovered just how much Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area had to offer in regard to outdoor activities. Some of my favorites are skiing, mountain biking, and trail running. I recently got married about a year ago to my lovely wife, Sydney, and we’re so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby boy in late April.

I spent the last six seasons working with TAMBA (Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association), building mountain bike trails in the summer and working lifts at Heavenly with Vail. Recently, my wife and I bought our first home together on Kingsbury, which is when I discovered how amazing the gym and community at Club 100 truly are.

My best days are always the ones where I can get a workout in first thing in the morning. The gym and all the outdoor activities Tahoe has to offer go hand in hand for me—whether it’s working on my deadlifts so I can flip bigger rocks for trail building, or keeping my shoulders healthy to shovel out the lifts at Heavenly. The gym and weightlifting allow me to do all of it with ease.

I’m currently on a side quest to break a weighted pull-up record. The progress is slow and steady and may take years, but the journey—and having a goal to work toward—is what keeps me motivated.
