About Me….
Tell us a little about yourself
I moved to Tahoe in 1990 to ski for a year after college, before continuing on with my “grown up life”. Now almost 30 years later I’m still here. I guess this is as grown up as I’m going to get.
I met Tom Gandt shortly after moving to town while I was working at Alpine Animal Hospital. He brought his dog in for an appointment & I knew right away that he was the one. I told everybody who would listen “Tom Gandt loved me he just didn’t know it yet”. Poor guy didn’t have a chance! After 2 years of manifesting, he finally got the message & we started dating. Next month we will be celebrating our 22nd anniversary. Man time flies!
I continued working in the veterinary field for many years. Then somewhat unexpectedly, I had an opportunity to go to massage school. Turns out I love doing bodywork just as much as I loved working with animals. So I switched careers. I’m a perpetual student always taking classes, trying to learn new techniques to help folks feel better. I’ve had training in Craniosacral, Lomilomi, Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Muscle Activation Techniques, Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Energy Work & more. For the past 15 years I have worked full time as a self employed massage therapist. My newest endeavor has been creating my own line of homemade, wildcrafted skincare products & healing salves.
When I’m not working, my favorite outdoor activity is racing outrigger canoes. I also love swimming, SUP, playing tennis, snowshoeing & running with my 4-legged furball “Rico”.
Take 5 Questions
Question #1
What made you Choose Tahoe Club 100?
I’ve been following Eufay around for the last 20 + years. I’ll go wherever he does. Club 100 is the best place yet! I love that it’s small and private.
Question #2
What drives you to work-out?
A: Eufay and the fear of that big bullwhip he has. I really hate gym workouts and would never get them done if I didn’t have Eufay cracking the whip.
Question #3
What’s your proudest fitness moment?
A: When Eufay quit referring to my arms as “buggy whips”. Also having the opportunity to complete 2 channel races in Hawaii; Maui to Molokai and Molokai to Oahu.
Question #4
Favorite Exercises or Piece of Equipment? Why?
A: Well, after 20 + years of training I still don’t know the names of equipment, exercises or what weight I use. Drives Eufay crazy, but that’s why I have him right?
Question #5
What’s your Favorite work out song, artist or album?
A: Scorpions, AC/DC, mostly classic rock. Has to be upbeat to motivate me
